Ilana has designed programs for, and taught classes to, over 100,000 children in Australia and the United States. She teaches children reading and literacy.

She has also worked with Australian and American Museums including the Powerhouse Museum and Australian Museum in Sydney and the Eli Whitney Museum in CT, the Museum of Modern Art in New York. She has also transformed education courses on a major Sydney cruise company into one of Australia's most popular excursion destinations transforming their fleet into a Harbour Classroom full of fun and learning.

Ilana has a BA Art Theory degree from the UNSW College of Fine Arts and a Fine Arts degree with Honours from the University of Sydney and post-graduate studies in special education and literacy. She lives with her husband and two children and is a frequent traveller.
